"The inspiration for most of my fashion design work is drawn from the beauty of Northern Michigan's landscape in combination with the profound color sense in nineteenth century quilt making. Quilts are both the signature of individuals and the banners of a community. I find myself embodying this idea in my own collection, with each look representing a different aspect of my heritage through patterns and color combinations. I would describe my work as quirky Americana.
